Okay, so it was too cold out tonight for my camera to work properly. Oh well, we all had fun, and the cookies were amazing! And new deal, when it gets colder than -15, camp stone meetings are cancelled!

Campfire Cookery 2: Cubs Cook

This time it was their turn to make a delicious meal over the fire. Cubs could make a meal for themselves or to share, and they did not disapoint! Offerings included: tortilla pizza, scrambled eggs, mulled apple cider, banana boats, smores, pigs in a blanket, bbq duck sliders, smokies, tacos in a bag, french toast with fruit and more!!!

Campfire Cookery

A great night of cooking demos. The mealplan? Mexican lasagna, cheesy taters, mushrooms and garlic, seabass with lemon and onions, bbq  chicken and veg, bacon onion bombs, and crescent roll peperoni sticks.

Bat Pack!

A wonderfully bat themed night with special guest Patty Kolesnichenko (aka Batty Patty!). A super duper huge thanks to her for sharing her time and wisdom with our group.

What a beautiful sunny day for some sandbagging! What a success! Well...almost. We didn't get quite as many people as we needed for as long as we needed them so stay tuned to your emails for the scheduled date for round two.

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to a new year of cub scouts! We're looking forward to jumping in and meeting everyone really soon. FYI, there are two events coming up. The first, and informational meet and greet, will be held at Camp Stone on Thursday September 15th from 6-8pm. Swing on by if you have any questions or just want to say hi. The second is our first cub scout meeting. This will be at Camp Stone on Wednesday September 21st from 6-8pm! Seeya there!

Oh and one more thing

It has been a wonderful year in cubs. We have done so many cool things!  What do you mean you can't remember everything we did??

As this is probably my last entry in this blog as my boys are moving up to scouts it has been a real pleasure to present this blog to you to view along with friends and families.  It is with a heavy heart that my time with this comes to an end.  I hope that this blog continues and have confidence that the leaders that take this over will do an outstanding job as they do with everything.  Kimberley cub group have outstanding leaders and outstanding cubs.

Cuboree is done.  Stuff packed up.  Clothes in washing machine.  Cubs to bed early tonight (or at least the parents).

It was a GREAT weekend!

Setting up the tents, checking out the tents, packing them back up.  Practicing the skits, practicing the song, and practicing the cheer.  All for getting ready for cuboree this weekend.  Starting on Friday night and carrying through a very busy Saturday and wrapping up on Sunday.  Also wrapping up cubs for the year.
